Carlos was born in Rochester, NY on November 20, 1969. He passed away on December 22, 2019 held in the arms of his loving family. He lived in both Norwell and West Roxbury, MA.
Carlos is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Shawn (Parsons) Pérez-Albuerne and their 3 amazing children, Kaleb (20), Alec (18), and Isabel (15). He is also survived by his parents, Dr. Evelio A. Pérez-Albuerne and M. Lourdes Pérez-Albuerne; his sister Luly (Steve) Nicosia; his brother Dr. Evelio D. Pérez-Albuerne; his godson Michael Nicosia; and his nieces Julia and Sara Nicosia. He is also survived by an enormous extended Cuban family of many loving tias, tio, and cousins.
Carlos had a thriving legal practice as a partner at Choate, where he was an intellectual property litigator for over 20 years. His practice group at the law firm included some of his dearest friends who became his local “family”.
Carlos loved traveling and was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of visiting Cuba with his family. He was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to not only see Cuba through his parents' eyes for the first time but also to be able to share his heritage with his own children. Carlos also loved sailing, skiing, trips to the BVI with Shawn and the kids, flying, the movies, reading a good book, video games, his puppies, weeks at Keuka Lake with his family, breakfast and llamas. He was a devoted father who loved watching his children enjoy their many passions. His easy-going wit and humor made him fun to be around and no one could resist his charm and those dimples.
