Choate represented a subsidiary of B. Riley Financial, Inc. in connection with a $20,000,000 term loan to theMaven, Inc. Maven will use the proceeds of such debt financing to acquire TheStreet, Inc. which operates a leading financial news and services website. The acquisition, which remains subject to stockholder approval, is expected to benefit the growing coalition of independent media partners on Maven’s digital distribution platform.
