Choate Adds Julien Dumont to Its Finance and Restructuring Team
New principal will support clients in connection with cash flow loans, acquisition financings, special situation loans, and other credit facilities.
Julien Dumont has joined Choate as a Principal in the Firm’s nationally recognized Finance and Restructuring practice to help financial institutions, asset managers, private equity sponsors and private credit providers in a range of complex financial transactions, including leveraged sponsor buyouts and acquisition financings. He will also support lenders who are providing debtor-in-possession loans as well as second lien financings and special situation loans.
Julien has participated in deals of up to $1.2 billion, and acted on behalf of lenders in special situation transactions – including Chapter 11 bankruptcy and restructurings, mezzanine financings, and cross-border refinancings – and acquisition financings with leading multinational companies, and on behalf of global investment and finance firms as arrangers in acquisition financings and commitment letters. In addition, Julien has represented borrowers in the negotiation and execution of credit facilities.

Julien previously worked at Parker Hudson, Morrison & Foerster, and Proskauer Rose. He received his JD from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences degree, summa cum laude, in Sociology and Politics and Law from Bryant University.
